A well made prototype by Stockton Strings of Stockton Springs Maine, with a Gold Tone neck mounted to his home made Corian 11" pot. Corian, a synthetic rock material, has been used from time to time, notably from a banjo we had here by Charles Paddock, which served as the reference for Stockton Strings to build this example. A more reasonable weight, this banjo weighs in at 10.2 lbs, and offers up a very nice defined tone suitable for any bluegrass. Volume, bass response and a nice sparkle, it's all there. No tone right, it has a sweet and punchy tone.
Scale length: 26"
Pot size: 11"
