Uke and Jugband Music at the Central Library with Ron Gordon

  • Sept. 9, 2017
  • 2 p.m. - 3 p.m.

Listen and/or play along with the Jugband classics! These songs were first recorded in the 1920's and continue to have a devoted following today. Uke players, and any other acoustic instrumentalists will be able to learn and sing along with songs like: "Vo Do Dee Oh Do", "Who Broke The Lock? On the Hen House Door", "Blues in The Bottle". We'll project these songs on a screen so they are easy to follow, and folks can download their own songbook from Ron's website: learnyourfrets.com. The Library will supply some ukes and Ron will bring some washboards, kazoos, and spoons, so anyone can participate. Kids welcome as always!

This event is FREE.
